Find out how to choose the best cookware

When cooking dinner the other evening for my family, I noticed that my pots and utensils were looking a little old and tired. They had become a little rusty on the base and I noticed little dents and marks on the sides of the pans. It was only when I sat and thought about it, that I realized I had bought the cookware set over 20 years ago, so no wonder they were looking a bit tired.

So, I just knew that I needed to buy an entirely new cookware set. However, having not bought kitchen cookware for many years, I had no idea what the best cookware brand was to buy. This was when I started to do a little research in order to find out what the best brands on the market were and found reviews by Cook with Tina and a few became instantly noticeable. I started by doing a simple Google search for the best cookware brands and the 3 brands that kept springing up were as follows.

Three Best Cookware Brands

Circulon, I found make fantastic non-stick cookware and a quick search on Amazon resulted in many 13-piece- cookware sets, all around the $200 mark. Cuisinart make a range of stainless steel cookware that is also non-stick. When searching on Amazon, again I found many stainless steel sets, but I was particularly struck by a 10-piece stainless steel set costing around $150. Faberware were also highly recommended and make non-stick pans in both aluminium and stainless steel. Once again, by searching on Amazon I found a 10-piece stainless steel set for around $80.

Satisfied Feedback

All of these brands had high customer satisfaction and positive reviews. As I had not bought any kitchen cookware for 20 years I decided to splurge and buy the Circulon 13-piece set. But, if you have a modest budget, it is good to know that there are quality products out there at affordable prices. I’ve now been using my new cookware for a few weeks and I love it. It cooks fantastically well and is easy to clean. My pots also look sparkly new. Hopefully they’ll last me another 20 years.

Budget Lover Cookware

However, most of us can’t afford high-end cookware. One of the most frequently asked questions especially on cooking demo forums is “how do you go get the best cookware at pocket-friendly prices?” Most people have this tendency to default to a non-stick type of pan. A non-stick type of pan is fine for low heat applications such as making an omelet. But for a higher heat application, you should not use it because it can leach some of the chemicals into your food. You can get your cooking stuff at very cheap cookware sets if you have the right strategy.

Features If You’re Looking For A Cheaper Option

The following are some of the factors that you need to know when looking for cheap but very efficient cookery. Look for the thickness of the bottom in all your cookery. Why should you go for those pans that have a thick bottom? A nice thick bottomed pan conducts heat very well and what you are really into is a pan called an induction-ready pan. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to buy an induction stove, it just means it has a nice thick bottom on it and it is going to distribute the heat very evenly.

Thick-Bottomed Cookware

Why thick-bottomed cookware are the best. The reason why those pans that have thick bottoms are efficient is because you can sauté without sticking. The biggest problem you are likely to have when you saute and it sticks is cold and hot spots. With a nice thick-bottom pan you don’t have to worry about this. You will not have any cold and hot spots you will just have perfectly distributed heat.

High Heat

When you are looking for a cookware, especially for high heat applications, ensure that they have a nice thick bottom. Always stay away from the coded pans except just for low heat applications. The bottom of your cookery is very crucial and that is why you need to always ensure that your pans have the right bottom depending on your application.
